The Oslo golfer can point to major bank account changes after conquering the world of golf in the past two years.

The Viktor Hovland golf kite had a total revenue of more than 836,000 kroner last year.
Revenues in 2019 correspond to an increase of almost 18,500 percent over 2018, where the golfer could aim for a taxable income of 4,497 crowns.

But Hovland’s fortune could be significantly higher next year.
By Sunday night, the golf pro won the last PGA tournament of the year, the Mayakoba Golf Classic, after landing a birdie on the final hole.
Hovland took home NOK 11 million in prizes.
– Playing here for the first time, as a fan on the PGA Tour and then winning here later, is great, Hovland said at a press conference after the victory.
Golden year
2020 has been a good year for the Norwegian golfer, despite the state of the world.
The boy from Oslo has earned almost 16 million crowns during the season, figures from the PGA program.
Additionally, Hovland won several endorsement deals during 2019, including the Swedish clothing brand JL Lindeberg, the golf brand Ping, and the watchmaker Audemars Piguet.

With the victory, Hovland also climbed the rankings and is now ranked the 15th best golfer in the world, just two years after breaking through when he won the American Amateur Golf Championship.
Hovland turned pro after becoming top fan at both the Masters and US Open in 2019, and managed to work his way to a permanent spot on the PGA Tour for the 2019/2020 season.
In February, he became the first Norwegian to win a tournament on the PGA Tour when he won the Puerto Rico Open.
