First voters go to Trump – VG

The results have begun to arrive from the presidential elections of the United States.

The states of Kentucky and Indiana closed most of their polling stations at midnight Norwegian time. These are strong Republican states.

CNN reports that Indiana has been confirmed for Trump, while the New York Times reports that Trump also wins Kentucky, as well as Joe Biden taking Vermont.

That gives Trump eleven voters from Indiana and eight from Kentucky.

Optimistic Trump

Therefore, Trump has 19 voters against the 3 for challenger Joe Biden. This is in line with expectations and is identical to how these states voted four years ago.

“It looks great to us across the country,” President Trump wrote on Twitter shortly after midnight.

CBS estimates that Georgia is perfectly level. Here are 16 voters at stake. This is a state that Trump won last.

Go to North Carolina?

The New York Times has rejected the speedometer for this year’s election, instead selecting three states where the speedometer shows who is likely to win. Here, Times experts take into account which districts the numbers come from, not just who the votes go to, to weigh this against historical information.

The speedometer shows at 01.25 that Trump with an 84 percent probability wins Florida, after 58 percent of the vote is registered.

North Carolina ends up 65 percent chance with Joe Biden, according to the newspaper. But so far very few votes have been counted here, less than one percent.

Georgia, the third state with its own speedometer, currently has “coin toss” status.

If Biden stays with North Carolina, this will be a very positive step for his chances of winning.

270 voters are needed to win the presidential election.
