This continues, among other things, with the prohibition of private meetings with more than 10 people and the prohibition of bandages in public transport when one cannot stay within a meter of distance.
The Oslo City Council has thus decided to extend the crown measures in the capital.
– We are closely monitoring the infection situation in Oslo and, as it stands now, the city council has decided to extend all the crown measures. The measures allow to keep Oslo as open as possible while the measures are so strict that we have control over the spread of the infection, says Councilor Raymond Johansen (Labor Party) in a press release.
The City Council evaluates all measures on an ongoing basis, and the measures are applied until they are revoked or modified. The town council leader says we will probably have to live with corona measures until we have a vaccine.
321 infected last week
A total of 10,016 people have been tested in Oslo in the last seven days, which corresponds to an average of 1,431 people per day. The proportion of positive tests is 3.2% in the last seven days. In the same period, 321 infected have been confirmed.

– The municipality of Oslo has a good testing capacity and good systems for tracking infections. Much of the infection comes from private gatherings and therefore it is important that the population continue to limit social contact and social gatherings. I understand that it can be difficult. But when we see how fast the infection is spreading in other big cities in Europe and we remember what it was like in March and April, we have no choice, says Johansen.
Nozzle and maximum limits
These are the measures that apply in the capital: Mandatory bandages in case of congestion on public transport, private meetings have a maximum limit of 10 people, there is a maximum limit of 50 people in indoor events (unless the organizer can arrange permanent seating) and a maximum limit of 200 people at outdoor events.
On Thursday, there are three corona-infected patients at the Oslo University Hospital. There are four crown patients in Diakonhjemmet hospital and three in Ahus Nordbyhagen.
51 deaths have been reported in the municipality.
Figures VG compiled before the weekend showed that pupils in Oslo schools lost a total of around 13,000 days of teaching because they were quarantined during the first six weeks of the school year.
