The Spanish newspaper Marca believes that Real Madrid is on track to plan how to get the Norwegian up and running.

Speculation around Erling Braut Haaland has devastated much of the Spanish press lately, and both Marca and AS have repeatedly inflated the fact that it’s Bryne’s 19-year-old who is his first choice.

Previously, the icon of Real Madrid, Fernando Morientes, spoke warmly about Haaland, analyzing that it is a type of food that he himself prefers to see in the white suit of Real Madrid.

One who is a little more skeptical of the situation is the old great scorer Hugo Sánchez. He thinks you have to be careful before picking up the Norwegian.

In an interview with the Spanish newspaper AS, the Mexican legend elaborates his thoughts:

– Madrid should follow him for the future. But if he goes there, he must be clear, and have demonstrated his qualities and have appeared, as I did for four years with Atlético de Madrid, before signing for Real Madrid, Sánchez told AS.

The 61-year-old is considered to be perhaps the best player in Mexican soccer history, and from 1985 to 1992 he scored commissioned goals at the Santiago Bernabéu.

He is also number three on the list of highest scoring foreign players in LaLiga history, second only to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

He wonders if Haaland is ready to put on the suit he wore for seven years:

– He’s still very young. You have to be the best in the world in your position to play in Madrid, ”says Sánchez.

It is clear what is needed in Madrid and what type of profile to look for in the transition window:

– Real Madrid needs an “assassin” inside the box, like me, like Cristiano Ronaldo. He did it exquisitely for many years at the Santiago Bernabéu. One has to find that guy, one who just has it.

Sánchez himself believes that a guy like Harry Kane would have been perfect for Real Madrid, while Robert Lewandowski’s age is what tells him that he can step in and take on that role.

The Mexican stopped at 208 goals in 283 games with Real Madrid, winning the consecutive gold series with the club in the Spanish capital.

The stars of tomorrow

The Spanish club has already decided how they want to strengthen the team towards the 2020/2021 season, and according to the important Spanish newspaper Marca, two names remain: Eduardo Camavinga and Erling Braut Haaland.

Interest in jærbogen is well known, and has been reported on several occasions in most Spanish newspapers. Now Madrid will be clearing space.

Camavinga, 17, has also worked on the covers of Spanish newspapers, and is considered the least expensive alternative to Paul Pogba, who could soon prove too expensive, according to, among others, Marca.

With the title “OPENING PLACE FOR CAMAVINGA”, these are the two young men mentioned as the players that Madrid wants to collect for the summer, but both have to wait until the club has discovered who to sell to.

The newspaper writes that Real Madrid has 37 players under contract, several of them lenders, and that they have to find out how they want to exchange parts of their team to attract the two young men.

In recent years, Real Madrid has become accustomed to picking up tomorrow’s next big stars. Martin Ødegaard was one of the first players to be a part of this when he was picked up at 16 from Strømsgodset.

Three-leaf clover Rodrygo Goes, Vinícius Júnior and Reinier are also three examples of how Real Madrid has progressed in recent years, acquiring three of the world’s most exciting talents.

Marco Asensio, Takefusa Kubo and Ferland Mendy were also incorporated as part of the new transition policy that Florentino Pérez has followed. The same can be said of Luka Jovic, who has not flourished at the club.

It is especially the latter’s problems that have caused Haaland to be mentioned several times as a possible great signing for Real Madrid.

In Marca’s case on Tuesday, it is alleged that Jovic simply did not do the job he expected him to do, meaning they now want to bring in Haaland.

In any case, the newspaper claims Madrid will have to kick players out of the club first, and a loan market is expected to come first as several players don’t want to leave the club permanently.

However, it has been established at the club that the two names sought this summer are Erling Braut Haaland and Eduardo Camavinga, the Spanish newspaper says.
