– He has regained his desire with us and has changed dramatically. I only have positive things to say about him.
This is what Sunaj Demirkovski, one of the two head coaches of Værebro BK, tells the Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
He’s talking about Nicki Bille Nielsen. This is the soccer player with whom there have often been problems, even when he was at Rosenborg from 2013 to 2014.
But now it will be normal again for the attacking player. At least according to the Værebro technician.
The team plays at level five in Denmark.

– It’s almost comical to see how it has improved. He had put on a lot of weight, but lost a lot of pounds again when he started exercising regularly, says the coach.
Violence and intoxication have been part of the picture for the 32-year-old who also has three caps for Denmark.
In September, it was revealed that he had to dispose of the anklet and the area in the usual way, after having drunk alcohol during open incarceration. What was supposedly non-alcoholic beer still contained some small percentages.
In October, he was jailed again, this time on the condition of vandalism and violence, and a fine of 7,500 crowns.
As soon as he finished, he started training with Værebro BK. The last time he played the best football was at Polish Lech Poznan from 2016 to 2018.
So far he has scored a goal for Værebro.
– He was injured when he scored the goal. He was on the field for only ten minutes, says the coach.
Talk about an unhealthy body focus
– I’ve had my prejudices. But he has really proven to be a good person and is doing well at the club, he says.
If all goes according to plan, Bille Nielsen will attend Værebro’s training on January 11.
