Sheldon G. Adelson, a billionaire, casino magnate and former mega-donor to President Donald Trump, has died at 87, the family said in a press release.
“Sheldon was the love of my life. He was my partner in romance, philanthropy, political activism, and business. He was my soul mate,” writes his wife Miriam Adelson.
Last week, Las Vegas Sands, Adelson’s casino, announced that Adelson would be retiring from office for a period to continue cancer treatment. Adelson was diagnosed with cancer in March 2019, according to the Jerusalem Post.
