Hacker Victor Gevers (44) broke into Trump’s account @realDonaldTrump on Oct. 16 by guessing the president’s password, Dutch media reported, according to the news agency.

He also said that Trump’s password was “maga2020!” – which refers to Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again.”
This was also identical to the password that Dagbladet and hundreds of other journalists had to enter to log into the Wi-Fi network for Donald Trump election campaign meetings.

“We believe that the hacker actually broke into Trump’s Twitter account, but met the criteria that have been developed in criminal cases to drop the charges as an ethical hacker,” the prosecution said in a statement.
The US authorities have been informed of the outcome of the investigation.

When the hacking was first made public, Gevers himself told De Volkskrant newspaper that he easily got into Trump’s account by guessing the password, and that no form of two-step verification was necessary.
