The condition must be dire for rapper Earl “DMX” Simmons (50).
TMZ announced Norwegian time Saturday afternoon that DMX was admitted to the intensive care unit in New York after an overdose at his own home in White Plains the night before. Sources close to the star said that the overdose caused a heart attack and that the condition is critical.
CNN reports Sunday night that the rapper is on a respirator. This is confirmed by his lawyer for 25 years, Murray Richman, who can also confirm the information that DMX was driven to be transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
The lawyer says he “is up to date with the forecasts” but will not comment publicly. Richman says he is in constant contact with family members.

Rescuers are said to have tried for 30 minutes to resuscitate the 50-year-old man before taking him to hospital. DMX has battled substance abuse for years and has been to rehab multiple times.
Grammy-nominated DMX known for songs like “Party Up” and “Get At Me Dog,” made his way as a rapper in the late 1990s. Since then, he has released seven albums, the first five of which went straight to the hit. number one on the Billboard charts in the United States.
In total, he has sold more than 72 million records. His bestseller is “And then there was X” from 1999.
In addition to his musical career, the 50-year-old has also appeared in several films, such as “Romeo Must Die”, “Exit Wounds” and “Cradle 2 The Grave”. He has also had his own television series, “Soul Of A Man”.
The artist was in and out of jail for a long time. He has been accused, among other things, of fraud and animal cruelty.
