On Saturday it became known that the legendary rapper DMX (50), or Earl Simmons, which is his real name, was hospitalized. The cause is a heart attack, presumably caused by an overdose.

Earl Simmons’ attorney, Murray Richman, confirms to CNN that assisted ventilation is helping him breathe. However, he says he does not know what caused the heart attack.

However, the rapper’s longtime lawyer incorrectly said on Saturday that the rapper had been withdrawn from respirator treatment and breathing on his own, but this later turned out not to be true. Write NME.
