Friday was the best in Super-G, and on Saturday Aleksander Aamodt Kilde was also the fastest downhill.

– It was really digg and I felt like it was floating all the way. But I’m not taking anything with me beforehand, there are still a lot of rockets left. I’m super happy, I couldn’t have done much better, Kilde tells NRK.

He ran an almost perfectly executed race from start to finish and crushed his compatriot Kjetil Jansrud, who had led up to that point, with 62 hundredths.

The two Norwegians drove quite similarly over much of the hill, but towards the end Kilde found a few extra km / h at the bottom of the alpine boots, making him their friend.

Eventually, there were several who managed to launch in front of Jansrud, among them the American Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Beat Feuz. Bryce Bennett entered at the same time as Jansrud, who is currently in a shared fourth spot.

It was a Norwegian-American grand slam, with only one Swiss making it into the top six. Adrian Smisted Sejersted entered at number 20, and is now down to 22nd.

No one managed to threaten Aleksander Aamodt Kilde’s great moment.

On the women’s side, Kajsa Vickhoff Lie had the best race with a fourth place downhill, six hundredths behind the podium. He was leading halfway, but a weak turn cost precious speed and thus a possible podium spot.
