In Norway, the application to stop the infection was presented by Prime Minister Erna Solberg at a press conference on April 14.
The app will help authorities track infections by mapping people’s movements through GPS and Bluetooth data collected from smartphones with the app installed.
Erna Solberg promised at the press conference that the application was so secure that even she as Prime Minister could have it on her phone, which was approved by PST.

Several other European countries also want to detect the new corona virus through smartphones, writes Swedish Radio, including Germany, Austria, Finland and the United Kingdom.
However, the app has sparked debate and concerns regarding privacy and security, something Tegnell addressed in the interview.
Tegnell believes that there are several legal challenges to the technology required to introduce such an application, but believes that it may still be relevant when the spread of infection is less in the country.
He says this requires that the legal challenges in this case must first be resolved.
– Also, you must crown many people to get any effect. So far we have not done it, explains Tegnell in an interview with Sveriges Radio.
