Four other contagious countries
So far, Vanuatu has only tested people from countries with high infection pressure. After last week’s infection, routines change and everyone who arrives on the island must be tested.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Vanuatu, which has around 300,000 inhabitants, has been one of the few countries in the world that so far has been rid of corona infection.
According to a WHO report, dated October 14, no infection has been recorded in the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Samoa, the Solomon Islands or Tonga.
North Korea and Turkmenistan also say they have not had a single case of infection in the pandemic so far.
