Bill Pascrell has led Congress’s fight to get Donald Trump’s tax returns released. Now he’s furious after Sunday’s revelations in the New York Times.
– This crash confirms something of what we most feared. Donald Trump has spent his entire life abusing the tax system by lying, cheating, and stealing at a level that is almost impossible to imagine.
Pascrell wrote on Twitter after the New York Times published an article Sunday night in which they claim to have gained access to Trump’s tax returns from more than 20 years ago. It states, among other things, that the president has not paid anything in federal income tax in 10 of the last 15 years.

Trump, for his part, responded by calling the newspaper’s revelations fake news.
-I have paid a lot, I have also paid a lot in income tax to New York, says Trump, and he says this will come out when he publishes his tax returns.

According to the New York Times, the main reason Trump has not paid more in income taxes is that he has reported that he has lost more money than he has made.
– Trump’s biggest financial loss confirms that he, who in the election campaign presented himself as a financial wizard, is actually a con man, a cheater and perhaps the worst businessman in the world, believes Pascrell.
Now he thinks Trump should publish his tax returns. According to the Washington Post, Trump is the first president to refuse to release his tax returns.
In July, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Trump must turn over the tax returns to the prosecutor in New York. Trump later called it all “political prosecution.”
Before the Supreme Court ruling, Trump had claimed immunity. For several years he has refused to disclose information about his private finances and his lawyers have claimed that he is immune from scrutiny from Congress.

The president says he will release the tax returns when the current case with the IRS is finished. The ongoing investigation, according to the New York Times, into a tax refund Trump received in 2010 of $ 72.9 million.
Self-proclaimed billionaire Donald Trump received a tax refund of $ 72.9 million, while paying nothing in federal income tax in ten out of 15 years. Yes, Trump loves corporate socialism for himself, uncompromising capitalism for everyone else, writes Bernie Sanders on Twitter.
At the same time, Pascrell says he won’t give up until the tax returns are released.
– Trump is the most corrupt president in our history. I will not give in to the fight to prove it and I will continue the fight for the opening. This is not political. No citizen is above the law, he believes.
Nor did Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer spend much time commenting on the revelation.
“Raise your hand if you paid more federal income taxes than President Trump,” he wrote on Twitter.
