– Completely crazy – VG

– It’s crazy. I am so tired of the Norwegian judges. The first card is completely unnecessary for the referee to give. It’s a battle for the ball, a duel, nothing ugly. The second is fine. It has consequences for us, an annoying Åge Hareide tells Eurosport during the break at the Intility Arena.

Trøndelag have already lost their last four elite league matches. This is his worst losing streak since 2005.

After the game, Hareide had a somewhat calmer tone when he met VG.

– I think it’s very unpredictable. Lately we have made big mistakes, and today we have a player sent off because he received a yellow card for a minor foul. The second yellow card is fine, but it doesn’t mark the line well when the first one turns yellow. Somehow you don’t really know what is what. Vålerenga player Christian Borchgrevink tells VG that he thinks it was the right decision to show Dino Islamovic. Backen believes that the second yellow card was on the verge of a red card, and that a player who has received a yellow card will have to think about it for the rest of the game.

Judge Sigurd Smehus Kringstad explains the situations in this way to VG.

– Islamovic was involved in two situations where he mercilessly enters twice resulting in a yellow card. Then he does it again and then he gets his second. Kringstad tells VG.

– How do you rate completely in the butt?

– Reitan blocks a Vålerenga player in the back. He does not concentrate on the ball and only looks at the player. For me it’s a free kick, and then I shoot it.

In the end, Rosenborg were seemingly incomprehensibly deprived of a 1-1 draw when Vålerenga landed a free kick in a situation that looked more like a penalty for Trøndelag. Vegar Eggen Hedenstad headed into the goal.

– I think it’s a penalty for Rosenborg, says Eurosport expert Tor Ole Skullerud live.

– Hovland is attacked, but he (the judge) says that he judges Reitan first, but I have not seen him since. If you consider it a free kick, nothing can be done about it, Hareide tells VG.

Islamovic’s dismissal, which came within two minutes of the first-half overtime, gave Rosenborg difficult working conditions in the important bronze medal match against Vålerenga.

After being the leading team before the break, RBK, in a 4-4-1 formation, had to focus on maintaining one VIF offense after another in the second half.

After 77 minutes of play, the free-spirited André Hansen decided to go for goal by striking the ball from the corner of the pitch.

Then it took off in Valle. The blue-clad players hugged, and Dønnum received a teddy bear hug from a very happy Fagermo, who during the second half had yelled at his players that they had to keep pushing to take advantage.

In the end, Rosenborg drew for Vegar Eggen Hedenstad, but the referee awarded Vålerenga a free kick. From the television images it was incomprehensible. On the other hand, Ivan Näsberg saved Rosenborg’s Even Hovland penalty.

– There is a lot of temperature in the closet now. In every round there is nonsense with the judges, Erlend Dahl Reitan himself tells Eurosport.

– It’s ridiculous (let the referee throw me), says the RBK player.

Dag-Eilev Fagermo, for his part, is aware that it was a free kick against Dahl Reitan:

– It’s a too abrupt blocking play, he doesn’t look at the ball, thinks the Vålerenga coach.

The victory marks a big step towards Vålerenga’s first medal since 2010. Vålerenga will face Viking on the road and start at home before the end of the season. Rosenborg again has matches against Mjøndalen (at home), Molde (at home) and Sandefjord (away).
