After 45 minutes, President Donald Trump is said to have dropped the “60 Minutes” tape and goes against reporter Lesley Stahl for not wearing a mask in the White House.
CNN reports that Trump dropped out of the interview and did not return for a scheduled session with Vice President Mike Pence.
According to sources the news channel has been in contact with, Trump is said to have said he thought they had enough material to use.
CBS, which produces “60 Minutes,” has not responded to questions from CNN.
Donald Trump himself has commented on the case on Twitter:
– Lesley Stahl from “60 Minutes” did not wear a White House face mask after interview with me. Much remains to come.
According to the New York Times, Stahl is said to have arrived at the White House wearing a mask and wore it until the interview began. According to the newspaper, the video clip that Trump has published since the end of the interview, when Stahl speaks with two of the producers, both with bandages. CBS employees must also have been screened for coronavirus prior to the interview.
Trump also writes that he is considering publishing the interview before it airs on television.
– This so that everyone can get a glimpse of what a fake and biased interview looks like. Everyone should compare this to recent interviews with Sleepy Joe Biden, he writes.
The show is scheduled to air on American television on Sunday. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris will also be on the same show.
According to Fox News, host Stahl is described as “extremely hostile” during the interview, and should follow the channel having started by saying “are you ready for tough questions?”
