This week, Christine Koht’s book (53) hit the Norwegian public like a bomb. The popular comedian has even said that she wanted to show herself and not embellish the truth about who she is.
Here it is revealed, among other things, that he suffers from bipolar disorder. The comedian also reveals extensive cocaine abuse, as well as affairs with men in addition to his relationship with his wife Pernille Rygg.
Surprisingly honest
– Took lethal doses
On Friday’s issue of “Lindmo,” she is visiting to talk about what appears in the book. Here she also talks about the cocaine abuse that lasted two years, from 2005 to 2007.
Koht recounts how cocaine finally took over his life and that sometimes he couldn’t do anything without the drug.
– I used so much that it corresponds to lethal doses – overdose, he tells Lindmo in a clip that NRK posted on Thursday.
Open on a past laden with bones
The wife is also a guest in the studio. The broadcast says he had to step in when the abuse got too great. She had to close Koht’s bank card so she couldn’t buy cocaine.
So Koht must have collected her passport, hidden in her panties, before going to the bank to withdraw money.
– I said it should have 70,000, I also started like this: “There is a lot of art and different.” Because I thought, I have to spend a lot here, Koht tells Lindmo.
– A part of my life has been quite dangerous. And I’m ashamed of that. And then I feel like no, you know what? I don’t bother spending more time feeling shame, he says in a clip Dagbladet has received from NRK.
Koht also asks if one has time to keep secrets, since life can take unexpected turns.
– I had “prepared” a new program, and suddenly it was like this – “you have cancer with spread.” This is life! We have zero control, she says.
Shock revelations
The book also claims that the comedian was pregnant at one point in 2011, something she discovered after two weeks in a closed psychiatric ward.
– The whole world stopped
Two tests were positive and Koht wanted to keep the child, who according to her was “conceived in a state of intoxication and mania for cocaine.”
“She (Christine Koht, journ.anm.) Had dreamed of it for many years, having a child with Pernille (…) The boy’s father was a man that none of them knew,” she says in the book.
In the end, Koht decided to abort.
Sharing happy news on birthday
In March, it became known that the 53-year-old had moved back into the house in Tønsberg. Koht had long waited to be able to move home with his wife, having been hospitalized for a long time, most recently in Sunnaas.
Koht and Rygg had been lovers and partners for more than 23 years, when they married in 2013. The comedian married in a pink dress, while his wife in a white suit.
