– You will never run for that magazine.
On Friday, it emerged that influencers and former soccer player Mads Hansen complained to Se og Hør to Pressens Faglige Utvalg (PFU) after the weekly wrote a four-page report on him. According to Hansen, Se og Hør has asked if he would appear in a report multiple times, and he has always said no.
– So, I was quite surprised when I saw this this week, he writes, referring to an image from the report in the magazine.
Submit stories
Now, various celebrities have submitted their stories to Hansen, who in turn has shared them on Instagram.
– They did the same to me last week. 4 page report without my knowing it. The big picture of my house, completely without my consent, writes NRK host Nicolay Ramm.
– Generally tired of them writing cases without talking or forcing themselves with an approach similar to ‘anyway we are going to present a case on this, so you can give us what we want or we will write what we think’, Andreas writes Haukeland, better known under the artist name TIX.

The artist with songs like “Kaller På Deg” and “Karantene” further writes that there is a particular type of case that causes it:
– Especially when it comes to personal matters that do not belong to the public eye, precisely because it shits more at home. I am a public person, but I am also a human being, and a no is a no, writes TIX, adding that he feels a much greater respect for where the limits of newspapers like VG, for example, go.
Harsh criticism
Hansen also shared an Instagram post from Kurt Nilsen in 2017, where Se og Hør has the headline “Kurt Nilsen’s Wonderful Secret: 38 Years Old And Soon Grandpa.” Here comes Nilsen with strong criticism of the celebrity magazine:
The sea
Mads Hansen rages against Seeing and hearing: – Pure lie
– This has been an incredibly tough and difficult weekend for my family and me. I just don’t know where to start. I am a “public person”, and I must “tolerate” this junk magazine writing about rumors from “close sources” and making cut and paste cases from previous interviews I have done with serious journalists, but NOW it has happened Far away.
He is furious about the case that includes his daughter:
– It is disrespectful abuse against me and my family when they publish a case about my daughter that is not true. My daughter is not a public figure and I have always tried to keep my children out of my artistic life. They have not asked for it and must be private. I’m not going to be a grandfather.
– I have “accepted” a lot of these junk journalists. I have “accepted” that they steal my photos from Instagram and publish them in their magazine for their own benefit. I’ve endured this all these years, although I never thought this was okay, but now I have to counter, because now it’s really enough!
Will not line up
Comedian Lisa Tønne writes the following in a message that Hansen has shared the most:
– Supposedly, according to Se og Rør, “he was afraid of dying on the stairs of the orphanage”. I have not been or said this.
She writes that she herself is neither hurt nor offended, but that she understands that people who are subjected to worse things than her think that this is very unpleasant and that the magazine should stop making things up.
– You have to be neat in all your obscenity. Then it must be in the interview “This was only made up by us, I hope it goes well”!

Ski legend Thomas Alsgaard also says he has around 100 examples of what’s wrong with celebrity magazine:
– I remember my first encounter with shit – Olympics 94. 4 page article (which I didn’t say yes to …) about a young gold winner and his golden girl (girlfriend at the time). The problem, aside from the fact that she hadn’t said yes to the article, was that it was a photo of the wrong girl …
Alsgaard also writes that he has never defended them, and will never defend them.
Wrong age
Host Marte Stokstad also sent Hansen a message that he shared about his story:
– Never forget when they published a double page with a giant photo of me and my project manager Sjalg Solstad at NRK, which I was with during the Fiddler award, under the title “You finally caught us, Mars shows his love for his partner Johannes Lund “.
Stokstad writes that, furthermore, it must have been said that she had a child from a previous relationship, which is certainly not true. The magazine must also have written the wrong age on the host.
– I did not exchange a single word with See and Hear that night, nor did they ask me a single question. When the case came up and I complained to the reporter, this “apology” appeared online: “… I hope you take our little mistake with humor and laughter,” writes Stokstad.
It’s not the first time
See and Hear has also previously endured criticism for its working methods. In 2015, Anne Rimmen, among others, addressed VG and criticized the magazine. Then a report had been made on her where it said the following on the cover: “I really want to get married.”
On Instagram, Rimmen wrote that the report was more than six pages long and that she herself had not been interviewed for the case.
Marit Bjørgen also appeared on VG and criticized See and Hear. He then said that he had not been asked for a comment on the article either, but that the magazine had relied on previous statements he had made to other media.
– It is sad to see that See and Hear portrays people who work hard for their goals, integrity and honesty as if they were people who display their privacy without, disrespectfully, having the opportunity to say no, or not even give a comment, he said to VG at the time.
The online newspaper has tried to contact Se og Hør’s editor-in-chief, Ulf André Andersen, but has yet to receive a response. The case is updated if there is a response.
