Starting Sunday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be back in isolation from the crown after being in close contact with an infected MP.

Last Thursday, Johnson had a meeting with several members of parliament at 10 Downing Street. One of those who attended the meeting, Member of Parliament Lee Anderson, has since been diagnosed with the infection.

Anderson posted a photo on his Facebook page Thursday afternoon where he posed with the British prime minister. On Sunday he published a new post where he says that on Friday he lost his sense of taste and his wife had a severe headache.

He tested himself on Saturday and on Sunday the result was positive.

Boris Johnson has previously been infected with corona. Then he became seriously ill and was hospitalized.

Hard week for Johnson

It has been a turbulent week for the British Prime Minister. On Friday night, Johnson’s controversial special adviser and chief of staff Dominic Cummings resigned.

He has had a great influence on Johnson’s policies and has been an important strategist for the Prime Minister.

Lately, however, he has been at the center of a power struggle in British high politics. Among other things, he has broken infection control rules and opposed the quarantine laws that he himself has been behind.

Johnson’s communications manager Lee Cain also resigned this week.

Infected in March: got seriously ill

After Johnson was released from the hospital in April, he thanked the health service for saving his life.

– I owe them my life, it is said that Boris Johnson told his friends according to Sky News, and also said that the doctors and nurses gave him an “exemplary” treatment.

Johnson has since reopened the partnership and closed it again.

On the same day that Britain surpassed one million corona infected in the transition from November to October, the Prime Minister introduced several strict measures.

– Christmas will be different this year, he said.

Then he entered the following measurements:

  • All pubs and restaurants are closed. Take-out and food delivery should be allowed.
  • All stores that are not absolutely necessary should close.
  • Meetings in the home are not allowed, except for childcare and other forms of support.
  • Travel abroad will not be allowed, except for business trips.
