Bodø / Glimt had to fight for a new victory – VG

Glimt is on track to break all records with 18 wins, two draws and a 3.45 goal average per game. But despite a 19-point lead before Rosenborg and Odd meet on Sunday night, all did not go well against Sandefjord, who went from victory against Molde to the match in Bodø. And in the final second of the game, Erik Brenden was able to score the goal that had secured Sandefjord’s point, which is incredibly difficult to steal from Glimt this season. But the great opportunity passed.

– It’s far from being a top day for Bodø / Glimt, Glim’s coach Kjetil Knutsen summed up to Eurosport after the match.

Bodø / Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen thought before the game that it was a great story that the club could sell a player like Jens Petter Hauge to a club as big as Milan. And he added that they are used to replacing players, even when Håkon Evjen went to Dutch football last year.

And it was less than half an hour before Hauge’s replacement, Ola Solbakken, on the left wing, scored a goal pass. He fought a long toe in the duel with Brice Wembangomo right on the line, where the Sandefjord player thought he was in control. Solbakken drew the ball to Ulrik Saltnes, who doubled the lead.

– You have to play until the ball comes out. I did that and we scored a goal, says Solbakken, who towards the end of the match had to give up with cramps.

But Solbakken came more and more into the game throughout the round and the combinations with Saltnes began to settle, among other things, when Philip Zinckernagel should have scored the team’s third goal before the break.

But even though the home team kept going throughout the round, Sandefjord was invited to the match and eventually landed Lars Markmanrud, who got the reward when he made the cut after 38 minutes.

And despite a series of big chances, something was wrong for the home team compared to their excellent quality this season. Philip Zinckernagel turned around with the players and dominated, but did not get the ball into goal. And despite eight good chances to score, it wasn’t a great day for the home team.

And Sandefjord came close to putting the outfielder in goal. Especially when Deyver Vega hit the crossbar. But when Erik Brenden also passed the ball when he got his super shot in the last second of the game, all three points went to Glimt.
