Seven years after being sold to Real Madrid as the most expensive footballer in the world, Gareth Bale is back at Tottenham. The Welshman will be on loan to North London this season.
Tottenham reports that the player is currently injured but is expected to be in fight form until after the national team’s break in October.
The transfer to Gareth Bale is not the only one between Tottenham and Real Madrid this Saturday. Tottenham also confirmed the purchase of left-back Sergi Reguilón. The 23-year-old hails from the Spanish league champions, but was on loan to Sevilla last season.
Reguilón has signed a 5-year contract with the Spurs.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham is paying around £ 20 million to bring back their former superstar Bale. The amount, which corresponds to NOK 236 million, covers the salary and what Real Madrid requires to rent the 31-year-old player.
