– Of course I think it’s sad to leave Glimt. A club that I have been in for many years. It will be strange to leave the team now in the middle of the season, but both Glimt and I and AC Milan are very happy with the deal. Then it will be the best now.
The sports leader in Bodø / Glimt, Aasmund Bjørkan, is very happy on behalf of Hauge when VG talks to him.
– It’s an adventure. It’s incredibly fun for Jens Petter, but I think the whole city is very, very proud of him. After all, it is one of the biggest and coolest clubs in the world. It’s crazy, Bjørkan tells VG.
Do you think it will be successful?
Hauge has scored 14 times and provided eight goal assists in 18 games for Bodø / Glimt this season. In the Europa League game against Milan last week, he attended and scored again.
On Monday, the 20-year-old was rewarded with a spot in the A team for matches against Serbia (October 8), Romania (October 11) and Northern Ireland (October 14).
Milan’s debut can come at the San Siro against Spezia on Sunday at 6pm.
– As we saw Milan, he also fits well there. It’s not just that it’s a fun transition, but I think the chances of it succeeding there are good, says Bjørkan.
