– Our people are tired. They see no end to this.

American healthcare workers are exhausted. For months, they have been working day and night. And the workload does not decrease. Americans are becoming infected at an ever-increasing rate.
This week, for the first time, American hospitals admitted more than 100,000 corona patients. The number has more than doubled since last spring, figures from the Covid Tracking Project show.
Several places lack health care staff and capacity. In some places, field hospitals are being built.
“Our healthcare staff have done their best, and there will come a point where treatment will be hampered by the fact that we just don’t have these healthcare workers anymore,” Michael Osteholm tells CNN. He is one of Biden’s coronary advisers and director of the Center for Infectious Diseases Research and Policy.

More than two infected corona dies per minute
This week, the United States exceeded the 14 million registered infected. That’s around 5 million more cases than the next country on the list, India. However, it may have to do with the number of people tested.
On Thursday of this week, the country set two very disgusting records.
In one day, 210,000 new cases were recorded, the highest number since the start of the pandemic, according to Johns Hopkins University.
3,157 corona deaths were also reported in 24 hours. It’s more than worst-case scenario during the first wave of infection in April.
This means that more than two people die every minute in the United States. In all, more than 282,800 have died.

Facing critical months
Medical experts believe it could get worse.
At first, one is concerned about the effect the Thanksgiving celebration will have. Last week, millions of Americans defied the call of national health authorities not to return home during the holidays.
With the onset of winter, outdoor activities will also be replaced by indoor activities. America’s leading infection experts fear that most Americans have shrugged.
– The reality is that December, January and February will be difficult. In fact, I think it will be the most demanding time for public health in our history, says Robert Redfield, director of the US National Center for Infection Control CDC, according to NTB.
Redfield fears that the death toll in the country could reach 450,000 by the end of February.

Scattered all over the country
When the pandemic first crossed U.S. borders this spring, it was primarily the largest cities that noticed the cruelty of the virus. Especially in the northeast part of the country.
