DJ Alan Walker (23) has been hugely successful internationally since he released “Faded” in 2015. Since then, he has traveled the world to give concerts to millions of people.
In the last year, however, most of the concerts were canceled due to the corona pandemic and thus the artists lost a lot of income.
Among those who received public support was Walker, who received just over four million. VG now writes that he donates a total of five million to colleagues in the industry.
– I know that money will not be enough to help someone completely, but I hope it can be a push up the last hill before the world can return to normal, the 23-year-old tells the newspaper.

Walker Management MER informs VG that all people who have their main income in the music industry can apply.
– We have deliberately not limited the scheme to only artists being able to apply. From my own role as an artist, I know how many different functions exist in an artist’s business and how important they are for the entire operation to work. So other industry players can apply as well, says the pop star.
In 2020 alone, Walker himself will have lost NOK 100 million in concert revenue. He himself tells VG that his main income comes from music streams.
That Walker has had salt in his porridge and well that’s not unknown. According to the tax lists, he had an income of more than 26 million crowns in 2019. This makes him the artist with the third largest income, after Kygo and Satyricon vocalist Sigurd Wongraven.
