Kåre Ingebrigtsen came out on Friday night with a statement of support for Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
– It is not often that I am active on Facebook, but now there is a tribute of support to a colleague, Ingebrigtsen begins with the publication.
Brann’s coach goes on to explain that Solskjær is under enormous pressure at Manchester United, “one of the biggest clubs in the world, one of the biggest coaching jobs in football … a Norwegian.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been under a lot of pressure after the loss to Başakşehir in the Champions League this week.
On Thursday, the Manchester Evening News claimed that Manchester United had contacted former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to inquire about his availability.
Ingebrigtsen highlights Solskjær’s strategy in the transition market. He believes that Solskjær has brought in players with potential, players who fit the bill or “winning projectiles” like Edinson Cavani, a player who believes he can go straight to a locker room and training ground to set a standard.
– You can agree or disagree with players who have been sold or bought, but everything is done thinking about how Manchester United can improve!
– Ole Gunnar is true to the field because he knows the club inside and out, is loyal to the club and wants to build a long-term platform that will deliver results over time and get United back to where it wants to be. He could have dived into the club’s money box and brought in players who had done better in the short term, but as a clubman you are loyal for the long term and it takes time to build a great new team, just look at Liverpool.
Ingebrigtsen points out that there are many good players in the club, but that changing clubs “as fundamentally as you are about to do so requires the perseverance and competence of everyone involved.”
– I myself have felt the pressure, but I’m not close to knowing the pressure that Ole Gunnar is under now, but I can say with my hand on my heart that it is fantastic to see from the outside how unyielding Ole Gunnar is in him, and not less important. he is firm in the project of which he himself is a part, writes Ingebrigtsen.
Kåre Ingebrigtsen himself is under pressure at Brann. He was introduced as the club’s coach on August 8 and since taking office he has only won one of his ten games as Brann’s coach. The remaining matches have ended with five losses and four draws.
He believes that Solskjær will triumph at Manchester United if the club shows the same calm and confidence in the project that Solskjær himself has. He also writes that there are many who have opinions about the work Solskjær does, not knowing how demanding it is.
– You are a great inspiration to me and to other Norwegian football colleagues and to all coaches, regardless of sport. Stay tuned, Ingebrigtsen ends its post with.
