Bergen police are investigating a case in which a girl is said to have been dragged into the woods somewhere in Fyllingsdalen by an adult man and tried to undress, they wrote in a press release.
– It’s still early in the investigation. In addition to summoning potential witnesses, the job of the police consists of obtaining and analyzing electronic leads, forensic investigations, and questioning of witnesses. A survey of the area is also planned this afternoon / evening, police write.

On Facebook, the police write that they want to contact everyone who walked down the road from the church in Sælen, past the football fields in Varden and towards Bjørge on Wednesday October 7 between 14 and 16.
The girl was on her way home after an event when the assault allegedly took place. She went alone.

The girl is of primary school age, reports police inspector Tore Salvesen.

– I feel safe. But I don’t go here when it’s dark. It is mainly because I am retired and can walk during the day.

Police were notified of the episode on Friday, October 9, two days after the assault allegedly took place.
– After receiving the message, we have worked both tactically and technically. We’ve been on the scene with a sniffer dog looking for DNA, says Salvesen, who won’t delve into how far they’ve come in the investigation.
Police have not been notified of other similar episodes.
