It promises that customers will get a car in 2020.

Last week the news came that Chinese Xpeng has a Norwegian importer and will start selling the G3 SUV here in the country.

If you haven’t heard of them before, it’s no wonder. Xpeng was established as an independent automaker in late 2014. Not surprisingly, these are electric cars.

Xpeng G3 Price

The Xpeng G3 will be available in two editions, called Smart and Premium.

Prices are now clear for Norwegian models and online ordering has been opened.

– Prices are NOK 398,000 for Smart and NOK 419,000 for Premium.

That’s what Espen Strømme, general manager of the importer Zero Emission Mobility AS says.

He believes that both models are well equipped and adapted to the Norwegian market.

“We are confident that a competitive price, good performance and the forward-looking platform on which the car is built will make it attractive to Norwegian car buyers,” Strømme tells Broom.

450-460 km range on the Xpeng G3

The Xpeng G3 comes with a net battery capacity of 66.5 kWt, which will provide a range of around 450-460 kilometers, according to the new WLTP standard.

Both models have the new Xpilot 2.5 and Xmart OS 2.

Xpeng refers to Xpilot 2.5 as perhaps the world’s most advanced driver assistant. Xmart OS 2 allows online updates to transfer new features to your cars.

Assist the driver

The system uses the car’s 20 sensors, including 12 ultrasonic radars, five HD cameras, and three-millimeter wave radars, to monitor the surroundings and assist the driver. The Xpilot 2.5 features can be divided into three main groups, the highlights of which are:

  • Safety assistants such as forward and reverse collision detectors, auto braking pedestrian detectors, blind zone detectors, turn assist with automatic speed reduction, and more.
  • Smart driving assistants such as adaptive cruise control, speed limit support, file change assistant, queue assistant, file centering assistant and smart route planner.
  • Parking assistant that allows you to choose from several available parking spaces near the car and park it alone. The assistant can also learn the construction of complicated parking lots.

Not surprisingly, Xpeng also chooses a great infotainer on the dash.

There is no list of expensive accessories.

The car’s features can be controlled with both the large 15.6-inch touchscreen and voice. The cars are equipped with 128GB of memory and the latest Quallcom 820A smart chip that provides very powerful processing power.

– Unlike other car brands, we choose to add virtually all standard equipment. There is no list of expensive accessories. We want to supply well-equipped cars at competitive prices. The Xpeng G3 is the platform for the future where those who buy the car will discover that the car updates itself, Strømme says in a press release.

If the importer hopes to do so, this will be a relatively common view of Norwegian roads.
