Skedsmo church pastor Bjørn-David Haraldsen (66) died on Friday after being hospitalized in Ahus for several weeks. – When a healthy and strong man like him dies from this, anyone can die, says the family.
It is Prost Torstein Lalim in the Lower Roman Empire who confirms death, first in the Roman magazine. The family will share that it was the corona virus that killed Bjørn-David, Lalim tells VG.
From the widow she shares this message:
– Being open about the death of Bjørn-David helps shed light on the terrible control that the disease now has over humanity. When a healthy and strong man like him dies from this, anyone can die. Death helps to emphasize seriousness, affects people, and affects people close to us.

– we will miss him terribly
Until Bjørn-David was infected, he was in very good shape, according to the priest. It wasn’t many years since he ran marathons and triathlons. He was still on regular jogging and skiing trips.
It was very sad to hear that Bjørn-David’s life ended yesterday, Lalim announces. He was creative and always had energy and good humor.
– I’m going to miss him terribly. We have been close colleagues and I have been your boss for the past five years. We have had good cooperation, Bjørn-David was very dedicated and has really given himself on the job.
Lalim had really treated him to become an old man and spend his retirement with family and grandchildren.
– As a father, grandfather and spouse you had a lot to do.
Bjørn-David was ill for a couple of weeks at home before being hospitalized, according to Lalim.
– Actually, I think he thought he just thought it was okay to end the infection early in the pandemic.

For about a month, Bjørn-David should have been hospitalized in Ahus. The family and Lalim hoped that things would go well.

– I have been very anxious for the last days, but I did not lose hope. Everyone did their best to save him, and that shows just how horrible this virus is, says Lalim.
On Saturday, the church in Skedsmo scored half a bar.
– The church should initially be open to offering people to come and reflect on the situation we find ourselves in, but it became a completely different framework and perspective from what was the starting point.
For several years, Bjørn-David has been a priest in the Groruddalen valley. When this church closed, he became a pastor at Skedsmo Church.

Lillestrøm Mayor Jørgen Vik (Ap) is a former pastor. He reacted sadly to the message, writes Romerike Blad.
– It is with sadness that I received that message. It is very sad. It is almost impossible to believe. We never worked together, but of course I knew him. He was a good priest and a good man. The thoughts go to his loved ones and everyone who knew him and loved him. He was highly respected.
