Three people remain missing after the landslide that took place in Gjerdrum on the night of December 30.
– It is very demanding to work in the landslide area. We are still on an active search for survivors and continued to search throughout the afternoon and evening, said police task leader Bjørn Christian Willersrud at a press conference at 7pm on Sunday.
– We plan to have the same pressure in the future and have planned it until Monday night in the first instance, said operations manager Gøran Syversen in the fire service.
At a press conference around 4 p.m., the police chief declared that rescue teams had moved further north in the avalanche.

Depending on the cavity
The leader of the health task, Gunnar Farstad, said at the press conference at 9 pm that it is not impossible that someone has survived, despite the cold temperature.
– The prerequisite is that they are located in a cavity in a building mass, he said.
– There are stories from other parts of the world, although mostly with a higher temperature, where you have survived for a long time. It depends on whether it is in a cavity where there is also insulation.
But he also has Norwegian experiences that he can survive with in a core temperature well below 20 degrees, Farstad added.
Seven dead found
At 5:27 p.m. on Sunday, the seventh person was found dead after the landslide.
– The person was confirmed dead on the spot. The person in question was found after good cooperation between police intelligence, police dogs and use teams, Task Leader Willersrud said.
He says the last deceased was found a good distance into the landslide, and that there is not a great distance between any of the finds.
A total of seven people have been confirmed dead after the landslide at Ask in Gjerdrum. Eirik Grønolen, 31, was found on Friday. On Saturday, three new discoveries were made, and Lisbeth Neraas, born in 1966, and Bjørn-Ivar Grymyr Jansen, born in 1980, were identified Sunday night.
On Sunday, three more people were found dead. Alma Grymyr Jansen, born in 2018, and Marius Brustad, born in 1991, were confirmed dead in the avalanche in Gjerdrum on Sunday night. Alma Grymyr Jansen was found on Saturday, while Marius Brustad was found on Sunday. Thus, a total of five of the seven that were found dead after the landslide have been identified.

– Difficult to move
One of the ground crews, Inge Myhrer, responsible for urban search and rescue (use) and leader of the rescue group in the Nedre Romerike fire service, spoke about the demanding search conditions.
– It’s hard to move. We have to make roads where we have to move, he said at a press conference.
– We paved roads where dog teams mark and search for buildings and where there may be cavities, Myhrer explained.
He said they are continually evaluating the safety of the well.
– We maintain a close dialogue with geotechnicians and geologists. One of the four security officers down there is a geologist, Myhrer said.
