Recently, many have become involved in the case of 18-year-old Mustafa Hasan. The high school student, who has lived in Norway since the age of six, received the decision to travel outside the country, to his mother’s home country, Jordan.

The comedian is the latest in a row to provide celebrity endorsements for the young musical talent, who has been given a January 18 deadline to leave the country.

The tent duo and footballer Martin Ødegaard are among those who have taken a hard line against the Norwegian authorities on the basis of the decision.
– I think it’s absolutely amazing. This is unexpected and almost unbelievable. It is not something you expect of people who are doing well in their own lives. Helping someone without knowing them, on my own initiative, I haven’t realized yet, Hasan tells Dagbladet.

He says it has been a challenge to stay in the spotlight when his role models speak for him.
– I have been involved with music for several years and I am inspired by Karpe. I have also played football for ten years, and talking to Martin Ødegaard after admiring him for many years is crazy, he says.
The family sent
The case is based on the fact that her mother declared an incorrect nationality when she arrived in Norway in 2008. The mother, who was originally from Palestine, is said to have forcibly married her cousin in Jordan and therefore He should have declared Jordanian nationality.
The rest of Hasan’s family have been sent out of the country, but he himself has been allowed to stay because he was not of legal age. Now, however, he has turned 18 and the Board of Immigration Appeals has made the final decision that he must leave Norway.

The case has provoked strong reactions, because a child is punished for something the parents have done. Efforts have been mobilized to keep the 18-year-old in the country where he has lived for more than half his life.
See no humor in the situation
Hadaoui will do what he can to support the 18-year-old. To Dagbladet, he tells that if Hasan is not allowed to stay in Norway, he will not be here either.
– My stomach hurts from all this. When I was little, people told me to go back to where I came from. Mustafa’s situation evokes feelings in me that I may have suppressed a bit since childhood. It fucks your head when you don’t feel at home anywhere, he explains.
The comedian has been making humor from an immigration perspective for several years and has therefore contributed to the public debate.
– I try to influence with humor, which has been my goal all my life. I have raised inflammatory issues like religion and the immigration debate. But I don’t see any humor in this, so I am opting for a different strategy.

Hadaoui says that he will no longer live in Norway if Hasan is not allowed here, and that he will move back to his home country of Morocco if the 18-year-old is sent out of the country.
– I’m leaving the same day as him. I don’t know what to do there, I guess I can open a cafe or something. There is probably a lot of shit that will be glad if I go back to where I came from, but I don’t know if it has any effect. But if we send Mustafa, it is not Norway that I know.

– Moving from Norway if I am not allowed here … crazy to say. That some are willing to go that far for others means the world remains optimistic, Hasan says.
I want to change
Hadaoui says Norway for him is standing up for the weak, something that commitment to Hasan has also shown recently. If the Norwegian authorities send the 18-year-old to Jordan, he believes it will change his own impression of the country.
– I understand so clearly that we have a legal system that sends people home who shouldn’t be here. I understand that not everyone who comes can live here. But we must have some discretion, at least when it comes to children. She has grown up with Norwegian friends and the only thing she knows is Norway. So you can’t say there is something wrong with the papers, and ask him to go home, he says frustrated.
