Halvor Egner Granerud had a fantastic show jumping season, and the everlasting rally at Engelberg continued on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old came from the World Cup in ski flight with an individual silver medal and a gold medal in the team competition.
In the first race after the championship, he had to fight again for the first places. He led after the first half and delivered the same in the second. Nobody could do anything with the Norwegian, who achieved his fourth consecutive victory in a World Cup.
– It is absolutely huge what you offer here. You are speechless because of what you accomplish and it is hard to find the words. This shows he can handle it all, says TV2 jumping expert Tom Hilde after the win.
In the final round, he jumped 138 meters, finishing 2.2 points ahead of Pole Kamil Stoch.
– It was not easy. I think it is my best performance this year, because today it was very tough conditions. I want to do a good first round, and I did it today, the winner himself tells the FIS.

With his fourth victory in a row, he becomes the third Norwegian to do so and the seventh Norwegian to win at Engelberg.
Led halfway
Halvor Egner Granrud has been a revelation in ski jumping this season, and with a win at Engelberg he could clinch his fourth consecutive World Cup victory.
Tough conditions made it difficult for the jumpers, something Robert Johansson noticed when he landed at 104.5 meters and was unable to advance to the final round.

Granerud, for his part, did so, despite the conditions, jumping 133.5 meters in the first round. He sent the jump to the top of the list of results and led by half a point to Pole Kamil Stoch before the second round.
There the distance grew greater and Granerud was able to cheer louder after another victory. Sail like the big favorite ahead of jump week, which starts next week.
