Almost a third of the Premier League season has been completed and for Arsenal it has not been a solid start to the season.
The home loss to Burnley on Sunday night was the Gunners’ seventh loss in twelve games, and the third in a row. It was also the London team’s fourth consecutive home loss, the worst in 61 years.
– It is not easy being an Arsenal player, coach, fan now, I think. Simply because it is difficult to find a quick solution here.
Here’s what TV 2 soccer expert Simen Stamsø-Møller has to say about the team that is a weak 15th in the Premier League. When asked if Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta lives dangerously, the football expert answered the following:
– Yes, maybe I will. I have no idea who can fix Arenal. In the absence of alternatives … It is important. Who is going to come in and fix that playgroup for the top four candidates? I do not know. He may be living a little dangerously, but I don’t see who is a better alternative at the moment, to have Arsenal, than him.

– We do not show the manager what we can do
One of Arsenal’s main problems so far this season has been creating chances. Arteta’s men have not scored a goal in an open match in the Premier League since a 2-1 win over Sheffield United on 4 October.
Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney killed his own team after the loss to Burnley.
– We don’t show our manager what we can do and how much we believe in him. “Every game is a sign that we are improving, but it is still not good enough,” he told the BBC after the game.
Former Liverpool player and coach and current Sky Sports expert Graeme Souness is highly critical of what is happening at The Emirates.
– Arteta has been disappointed by the players. These players are not good enough to play for Arsenal. They are miles from where they should be. They are not a very good team, he says according to Sky Sports.
TV 2 soccer expert Erik Thorstvedt believes Arteta has received less criticism than another coach would have received had he been responsible for Arsenal’s results this fall.
– Many managers will likely feel unfairly treated. Ole Gunnar is such a thing, why does he receive so much criticism? You get numbers, he’s done so well, he’s done so poorly, and then you go to the end … No one can say that Arteta has taken too much. No one can say that, says Thorstvedt, adding:

– Arteta is eloquent, has good looks, exudes so much confidence. It’s probably gotten a lot of people involved in this here, but if you look cynically at the results it’s very black now.
A tough program awaits you
Soccer experts are excited about the possibility that Arteta can pull Arsenal out of the strong trend this fall. Tough matches against Southampton, Everton and Chelsea await the next three games.
– This is your first proper managerial job and your first real adversity. True adversity. It is a small exam for a manager. Because adversity comes, how do you deal with adversity? The bottom line now is that many of the teams that were at the same level as Arsenal this summer, we think, have improved. Arsenal have gotten a bit worse, says Stamsø-Møller, who believes Arteta will have to get more out of his players.
Because after the rojiblancos won the FA Cup this summer, the curve has pointed in the opposite direction to the London team. Thorstvedt is not sure how long Arteta can live with the triumph of the cup.
– He won an FA Cup early, and that means something, says the former Tottenham goalkeeper about Arteta, before noting:
– Many of the coaches who win the FA Cup are fired soon after. It doesn’t weigh you down as much compared to the knife that comes when things go wrong in the league.
