Few things bring us back to childhood in the same way as good old-fashioned Disney classics. For many, it can be difficult to open their minds to new films from the Walt Disney universe, but they still try to win our hearts over and over again.

We must also admit that they hit the spot quite often.

When Disney launched the Disney + streaming service earlier this year, it was met with great enthusiasm. Here we are constantly surprised by good old movies, but also by new and unknown ones.

The same is the case with Angelina Jolie’s new film (45), “The One and Only Ivan”, which is about animals in captivity, but also about what is home.

Therefore, she wanted a divorce.

Inspired by children

In relation to the premiere of the new Disney film, Dagbladet, along with the foreign press, was present in a Zoom conversation with several of the stars participating in the film. Among them we find names like Helen Mirren (75), Chaka Khan (67) and not least Angelina Jolie.

The latter talks about how children affect her at work and what she learns from them on a daily basis. As is known, Jolie has six children Maddox (19), Pax (17), Zahara (15), Shiloh (14) and twins Knox and Vivienne (12), along with her ex-husband Brad Pitt (56).

– I think my creativity is my children, he tells Dagbladet, and continues:

– I’m with them, I do stories on the edge of the bed and have fun with them. I think all I do is follow them, watch them become who they should be and be close to them.

The Hollywood star also says that being able to help children develop helps their creativity and develops it at the same time. She also points out that when children achieve something, it also feels good inside of her as a mother.

Important message

It was also the children who made Jolie want to participate as a producer and voice in the next Disney movie.

– One of my sons read the book and loved it. We talked about why he was special and meant so much to them. I started to do some research and got involved, he explains.

– I felt a deep and real sadness.

Jolie also says it is a lovely movie, but a movie that also has an important and difficult message: about how animals should be treated.

– I like the message of the movie. I know that the younger generation is very observant of what is happening in the world: they are angry and they are clear about what kind of treatment is right and that there is captivity, he explains.

– I think this movie represents them, and I think it is strong for them today to see that their actions can lead to change, he continues.

Acclaimed mother

The 45-year-old has also previously been open about the fact that she has been inspired by her own children when she has taken on various tasks. Three years ago, she also revealed that her son Maddox, who was 16 at the time, had contributed to a movie she was working on as a producer.

In an interview with the celebrity website People along with his mother, Maddox said that he came up with ideas at the meetings, prepared to record, and helped his world-famous mother keep up with the news.

The film is based on the autobiography of her friend Loung Ung, in which she tells how she survived the Khmer Rouge, the massacres that took place when Pol Pot ruled Cambodia.
