This Christmas, it is seven years since Michael Schumacher (51) fell and was seriously injured when leaving the track in the French Alps. We know that he was seriously injured and everything indicates that he still bears the mark.
The family rarely comment on Schumacher’s health, even though interest from the large 51-year-old fanbase is huge. One who does, however, is his former boss Jean Todt.
Todt visits Schumacher regularly at his home in Switzerland and sometimes removes the veil. This time it happens in a great interview with Ouest-France.
– I don’t want to say much about this. But as we know, Michael Schumacher was in a serious accident in 2013 and, sadly, it had serious consequences, Todt told the newspaper.

Praise the son
Todt, who is also president of the International Automobile Federation, continues:
– Since then, he has received treatment and can live a more normal life, says Todt.
Schumacher is an undisputed legend in Formula 1. The track record is absolutely insane. Among other things, he has 91 Grand Prix victories.
His son Mick was bitten by the bacillus early on and is now awake and sniffing out a Formula 1 debut. The 21-year-old has made great strides this season and has signed a contract with Haas.
– Is so big! This is a family that I love. I have followed Mick since he was born. I have a special compassion for him, and as long as he’s fine, I’m happy, Todt says in the interview.
Rarely speak
The son, like the rest of the family, has said very little about his father. But last year he left little doubt about what he thinks of his father.
What we know about Schumacher is that he and his family live in Gland on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Along with his wife Corinna, he has a daughter, Gina-Maria, who is a promising horseman, in addition to the aforementioned Mick.
In 2019, there was an unusual amount of information about the condition of the German. It gave fans hope that one day the truth will come out.
The wife and children are constantly pressured to provide more information to the public, and in relation to the birthday of the Formula 1 profile last year, they made a long-awaited statement.
– You must be sure that you are in the best hands and that we do everything humanly possible to help you. Your health is a sensitive topic and we hope you understand that we follow your wishes when we keep it private, they told hungry fans.
Although family statements sometimes end up in the media, they are usually pulled out for information. It has caused more people to react. Some believe fans deserve to know how the 51-year-old feels.
