Karianne Kopperstad (27) had to pack her suitcase and leave “Farmen” just before the final.

“Farmen 2020” is soon at the end of the road, with semifinalists Per Gunvald Haugen (45), Karianne Kopperstad (27) and Daniel Viem Årdal (31) battling for generous final places on Sunday.

Årdal was the first to cheer for a spot in the final, after preparing and presenting the best food in the first competition. Then it was time for a milk bucket competition between Kopperstad and Haugen.

After just over six intense minutes, the final for Kopperstad slipped.

– At first I was mad at myself, and then I regretted it. I was disappointed in myself, she tells VG.

The goal was to win

Despite the great will, the body resisted.

– My muscles acidified and finally my hand stiffened. No matter how hard I tried to fix it, it didn’t work, he says.

Haugen has shown strength in the milk buckets earlier in the season, as he and rival Marianne Lambersøy battled to become full members of the farm.

– I knew it was very good, so my first thought was that “now I smoke.”

She says it was basically pretty open between the three semi-finalists.

– We pose quite similarly in all competitions, and all three with competitive instinct from here to the moon, laughs.

And given that the loss was a reality, perhaps it is not surprising that the disappointment was great.

Grandmother lost in “The Farm”: – Missed the funeral.

– I’ve always had the goal of winning. It’s boring to be so close to the final, but I wasn’t good enough, he says.

– Fantastic

For 11 weeks, Kopperstad has shown great strength within the farm and is pleased with his own efforts.

– It has been fun to show my knowledge both physically and mentally. I am also the only one who was in all the competitions in the last week, apart from the final itself.

She describes the stay as “a little adventure”.

– It was fantastic. Of course, there have been up and down emotions, and a lot of mixed humor among the participants.

There were also mixed feelings when Kopperstad returned home from “The Farm.” Earlier this weekend, VG wrote that the 27-year-old came home with the surprise message that his grandmother had passed away.

Convinced that he is winning

Kopperstad says that the engagement of those close, acquaintances and strangers has been overwhelming.

– People text and call and get in touch with everything from Instagram to LinkedIn. People also stop me on the street. It is very cozy and very bright.

The response has been exclusively positive.

– I have received many compliments and family and friends are very proud. That is very good.

Kopperstad says that friends and acquaintances are convinced that she is the one who escapes with victory. And although he is not allowed to divulge anything, he has certainly done nothing to refute them.

– They should be able to feel my feelings when it comes to television, he laughs.

Became unemployed

Today, Kopperstad lives in Oslo and, due to the corona pandemic, was unemployed earlier this year.

Now she is looking for work and says that there are several things that are tempting. But exactly what, she is somewhat reserved.

– I’m trying to figure out what next year will bring. It will be exciting to see.

Do you remember this? Erik Follestad is a regular viewer of “Farmen” on TV 2, but he didn’t like what he saw in week 9:
