Priest Thor Haavik (26) held back tears when “Farmen” came to an abrupt stop on Wednesday.
Along with Karianne Vilde Wølner (26), Haavik had to leave the last settlement to semifinalists Per Gunvald Haugen (45), Karianne Kopperstad (27) and Daniel Viem Årdal (31).
– It was heavy. He had been there so long and had come so far. Then it was very painful that everything suddenly ended, Haavik tells VG.
The mood and positivity have been impeccable throughout, but in the end they held their own. The priest had to wipe away a few tears.
– I really feel like I’ve won. All the dreams I had come true At the same time, there were very strong emotions in the swing, so I felt a sadness amid all the gratitude, he explains.
It was never victory that tempted the most. The main goal was to share the faith and make friends for life.
– To achieve these two, he wanted to go as far as possible, says the 26-year-old, who comes from Loddefjord and was recently installed as a priest in the Salhus parish.

Haavik has sailed through “The Farm” without being in a single duel. Nor has he been a great farmer. But he showed physical ability in the obstacle course when he was three seconds away from securing first place in the semifinals.
– I’m proud I didn’t mourn. It was probably because they wanted me in the group. At the same time, the others were probably a little scared to choose me as the second champion. Then I’d choose a bucket of milk, says Haavik, who had practiced just that.
Milk buckets are a branch where you would feel right at home.
– So you’re in cross formation, so it would have been nice, smile.
That religion can be a delicate and complicated subject in “La Granja” as seen in previous seasons. But those who had thought that it would cause a disturbance for a true priest to enter the farm were wrong.
Haavik has included others in prayer times, given blessings and baptized Kjetil Kirk (27).

War of words in “The Farm”: – He tried to discourage us.
Kirk, who smoked Tuesday, believes Haavik was the “X factor in this year’s season.”
– Thor’s presence was essential to the rest of us. There was a good reason why he was never the first or second champion. Everyone wanted Thor to be there as long as possible, Kirk tells VG.
– I think many were shot by Tor, because they all wanted to prove they were his friends.
These words touch Haavik:
– Wow, that’s amazing, he says.
The pastor gives the other participants much of the credit for making him appear as he does.
– They called me. Also, I felt that they valued everything I could bring to the community. I am also grateful for everything that Christian TV 2 has included, although quite naturally it has not been included on television.
Haavik never gave in to the temptation to play cynic.
– I win if I am who I am wishes be a follower of Jesus. A victory would not have mattered if I had lost my integrity.
Several Christian media have dedicated space to the priest and have praised him for leading by example. Haavik also gets a lot of feedback directly from viewers.
– It is huge, that my little life means something to people that I have never met, but who say they are inspired to be Christians or live as a good neighbor.
Haavik previously told VG how he converted to Christianity at age 17, when an injury ended his football dream. The 26-year-old has also been outspoken about wanting to “save himself” for marriage, but is single and “looking.”
These days, at least, there is no shortage of deals.
– So I think it will work out, he says laughing at VG.
Flow with inquiries on social media and via SMS.
– I think it is important to answer everyone. But those who ask me if I want to marry them, I stay away. It’s getting too garbage.

Haavik responds to most people who prefer to meet people “the usual way” and start out as friends, before it finally evolves into a relationship.
– So now there will be a stream of new people in the parish of Salhus?
– Hehe, I don’t mean that it should be the motivation to come to church, he laughs.
Haavik expects normal times and services with no crown restrictions.
– It’s a different everyday life. I haven’t met my confirmations yet and I’m sorry. We only have meetings at Zoom.
It is not only popular on television. Haavik also has more than 18,000 followers on Instagram and an independent YouTube channel titled “The Spark of Life.”
– Inspiring others gives me a great feeling of happiness.
In the spring, he will baptize the son of “Farmen’s” friend Raymond Røskeland (36).
Karianne Vilde Wølner also had to give up the battle for a cabin and a car. She has smoked in a duel before, but was saved again by winning “Torpet”.
– “La finca” has been one of my best moments in life. “I have had a wonderful trip and I come out much wiser from this,” he said before leaving the farm.
