On Saturday, Fredrik Nordkvelle tested positive for coronavirus. On Sunday, the remaining players and support staff were evaluated. He gave three other positive test results.
John Kitolano, Elbasan Rashani and Petter Hagen are the players who have tested positive. He announced Odd in a press release Monday night.
– Players are doing well under the conditions. They are followed by our medical staff and have milder symptoms. I have talked to everyone and it is fine, but it is clear that they have been diagnosed with a corona infection and it is serious. So they are being followed up, Odd sports manager Tore Andersen tells VG.

Infected players are now isolated, while the rest of the team is quarantined. They will be retested soon, says Andersen.
Those infected will be isolated until Wednesday, December 9. They won’t be ready for Odd’s away game against Kristiansund on December 9.
– Since it is an away game, they are not relevant for that game anyway, says Andersen.
Odd was to play a game against Sandefjord on Sunday. Both he and the planned match against Strømsgodset on Wednesday have already moved as a result of Fredrik Nordkvelle’s positive test.
Andersen says he is not surprised that they have received more positive tests.
– We do not want it, but from experience, it often happens that if there is an infection in a group of players, it spreads more. And that’s what has happened here, he says.

The crown contest in the Elite Series has moved the final round of the series from Sunday, December 20 to Tuesday, December 22 to accommodate postponed matches on the schedule.
There are five games left for Odd in this year’s elite series. The ski team is fighting for a medal and a place in the European Cup next season.
