FRP’s immigration policy spokesman Jon Helgheim lost the battle for first place insurance on Buskerud Frp’s parliamentary list, to Morten Wold.

The Storting representative Morten Wold won by 23-17 votes.

It is unlikely that the party will be able to get two FRP representatives from Buskerud in the Storting. Regardless, Helgheim is completely off the list after losing in the party vote.

It was TV 2 that brought up the case for the first time.

Wold is grateful for the support and looks forward to campaigning.

– I was persuaded to run again after I first withdrew from the nomination in late August. We are a party that likes competition, also for the seats on the Storting list, says Wold to VG.

– Now we must prepare for the electoral campaign. It gets long and difficult.

Helgheim (39) has been a prominent Frp politician in this period, especially in the field of immigration.

On Facebook, Helgheim thanks the Storting for four years and says it’s sad there aren’t more.

– FRP delegates in Buskerud did not want me in the Storting in the next term because they were not satisfied with the seats on the list, he writes.

In August, Wold announced that he was not running for re-election in the Storting and that two terms were enough for him, but now he has changed.

The 53-year-old has been a parliamentary representative since 2013 and is now a defense policy spokesperson for Frp.
