It is said that the Real Madrid coach gave one of the best players in the world the task of mentoring the player of the Norwegian national team.
It is the Spanish sports newspaper AS that writes that coach Zinedine Zidane uses Croatian master Luka Modric (35) quite deliberately against Martin Ødegaard (21).
The newspaper writes that Modric is the Norwegian’s mentor at Real Madrid and that he will help the 21-year-old become a future star of the Spanish club.
– Good chemistry
In recent matches, the collaboration between Ødegaard, Modric and Toni Kroos has worked very well in Real Madrid midfield and the trio seem to have found the tonic. AS writes that especially Ødegaard and Modric have a very good chemistry with each other.

During the Champions League game against Inter recently, cameras also caught the Croatian slapping the young Norwegian on the head when Ødegaard was taken off the field after around 57 minutes of play.
– He’s a very good boy and he’s very talented. It will help us with its qualities, Modric has previously said of his Norwegian colleague.
Ødegaard delivered a very good match against the Milan team and received much praise for his contributions in the match. Real Madrid won the tough away game 2-0.
According to AS, coach Zidane wants to involve Ødegaard more and more in the first student in the near future. So far he has been on the field in six games for the club, but has also struggled with injury this fall and has been out for a while.
