Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was carried out at the scene without success, police said Monday. They claimed that forensic technicians, the accident group and the Transportation Accident Investigation Board are investigating the case.
Police lawyer Sigrun Våge in the southeastern police district tells VG that a man in his 30s is accused of negligently causing the death of another person.
The man’s defender, Jon Anders Hasle, tells VG that his client believes what happened was an accident.
– He does not admit fault. She takes the whole situation very seriously and finds it very difficult for family members, Hasle says.
According to NRK, witnesses have so far been questioned and investigations into the car have been conducted. The police have questioned the driver, but have not said what the driver has explained.
