– I have an outgoing contract, and as of today I’m only thinking about the next game for Viking. Nothing is blocked. I am in normal dialogue and I have not closed the door to Viking. I love the club, the people and the fans here, we’ll see what happens after the season.
Viking coach Bjarne Berntsen responds easily and simply when asked by VG if he hopes to retain his players:
– It depends on what offers come from foreign clubs.
Ylldren Ibrahimaj’s fifth and sixth goals for the season mean Viking took the entire pot at Østfold. Thus, they are up to 36 points, while Sarpsborg is without a win since October 3 and must look back on the table.

The hosts took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute of the second half when Bjørn Inge Utvik ‘knelt’ the ball in the goal after a corner kick from Anton Salétros.
But not long after, Viking caught up. Lanlay’s Yann-Erik shot, sarpe goalkeeper David Mitov Nilsson couldn’t hold the ball, and so Ylldren Ibrahimaj put it on the return – 1-1.
The 2-1 goal was really beautiful: Veton Berisha tried first, but the ball bounced towards Ylldren Ibrahimaj, who thundered from 18 meters. The ball went to the opposite corner and the Viking player was able to embark on a jubilant march at Sarpsborg Stadium.
– Good score. “I’ve trained a lot on it, so it was good to see him come in,” Ibrahimaj tells VG.

Three Sarpsborg forwards were left out: Guillermo Molins, Mustafa “Mos” Abdellaoue and Alexander Ruud Tveter. At that, Tobias Heintz was scored for a hat trick! “Emergency Council,” as he called himself.
A triple chance for Sarpsborg was the most exciting thing to happen in the first half. Anton Salétros took over the role of waiter, but neither Joachim Thomassen nor Tobias Heintz managed to score. Viljar Vevatne became Viking’s saving angel in Heintz’s shot, when Iven Austbø was outmatched.
– It is not a worthy tip that does not mark with it, Tobias Heintz told Dplay during the break.
Veton Berisha had the Vikings’ biggest chance, but sarpe goalkeeper David Mitov Nilsson managed to stop the shot.

Sarpsborg has now only earned one point in their last five games. Viking had another recession.
There’s no immediate relegation danger, but it’s worth noting that Lillestrøm had 28 points after 25 games in 2019. Sarpsborg has the same now.
– We can read the table. We have to turn this around, Sarpsborg coach Mikael Stahre tells VG.
Defending champion Bjørn Inge Utvik says this:
– It is getting closer and closer, as long as we don’t score points. We need to start delivering smoother performance. We have to raise our lower level, then this will go the way, Utvik tells VG.
