In several Norwegian cities, the festivities came to a halt and the participants of the festivities reported themselves for violations of local crown regulations. At least 38 have been reported for infection control crimes.
– The police have finished two parties in private homes near the center of the city. On both sides, both the organizer and the participants of the party are denounced for violating local regulations on the prevention of corona infection, write the Troms police at 3 o’clock on Saturday night.
They claim there were 11 and 15 participants in the two parties, respectively.
Earlier on Saturday night, a similar message arrived from the Oslo police:
– We finished a party in the lower area of Grünerløkka with 12 people. All are reported for infection control violations, police write.
On Friday night, the eastern police stopped a large gathering in Nannestad in Romerike in Viken County.
– There were about 40 people present, both adults and children. Police are reporting on the matter, they write.

Common practice
Operations manager Bjørn Gunnar Nysæter in the Oslo police district tells VG that they have received several reports of party noise on Saturday night, but only one where there were more than ten people.
– It is often a topic in the messages if there can be more than 10, but we have not been notified of other addresses where the number of participants of the party exceeds 10 people, he says.
He says that it is common practice to inform everyone who attends a party with more than 10 people.
– There are nuances depending on what event we are talking about, but meetings in a private address, the typical house parties, where all participants are notified. Everyone has a common responsibility to comply with the provisions on numbers, he says.
He says that party participants can expect fines. Following a message from the police director, the police have increased the prioritization of these types of assignments.
– This is something that the police director has said we will enforce to a greater extent than before. But then we evaluate, of course, based on the capacity we have and what other assignments we have, says Nysæter.
