The law firm that was to help Trump’s election campaign in its largest lawsuit in Pennsylvania has resigned.
On Thursday night US time, Porter Wright Morris & Arthur suddenly announced that they were withdrawing from the lawsuit, which tries to stop Pennsylvania from approving their election results.

President Donald Trump and his team have launched a series of lawsuits in various states to prevent the election results from being approved in the states where Joe Biden won.
It is not known whether the company will also withdraw from other lawsuits in Pennsylvania. Trump is 58,000 votes behind in the state. So far, the election campaign has not provided proof of its accusations that thousands of invalid votes have been counted.
He stayed out of the spotlight
After last week’s electoral defeat, Trump has largely stayed out of the spotlight.
At the same time, from the White House he has tweeted day and night a series of allegations of electoral fraud, without receiving the attention to which he is accustomed.

Trump has yet to acknowledge defeat, even though all major media outlets announced Joe Biden as the winner. Biden has also received congratulations from most countries in the world.

Fear that democracy is threatened
Donald Trump and his administration’s numerous electoral fraud allegations aren’t just causing a stir on social media. Also among the top directors of the United States, there should now be concern for democracy.
Already last Friday, three days after the elections, more than 20 top American executives sat in a video conference where they discussed what they would do if Trump refused to leave the White House.
At the meeting, the directors agreed that if the president tries to do something that the law does not allow, or interrupts the transition period to the administration of Joe Biden, the directors will make a joint statement.
Directors stated that they had not seen any evidence of widespread electoral fraud, and several were concerned that the president’s remarks threatened democracy.
