The best in Norway? It’s not worth discussing it once »

It’s as if a new civilization has arrived in Norwegian club football this summer. It’s called Bodø / Glimt.

Bodø / Glimt-Aalesund 7–0.

There is a lack of formality before the gold is in Glimt. But it is not interesting once.

Where Rosenborg was the only one who showed what Norwegian football can be most useful, especially during the parade period under Nils Arne Eggen, we are now talking about another level. The Glimt level.

In Bodø there is gold, everything that glitters.

What Glimt offers is reflected at all levels. No one else offers so much joy, so much variety or so much efficiency. No one else can mobilize so much security.

No one else can demonstrate such a comprehensive strategy – in training work, in preparations, in implementation.

Bottom line: no one deserves gold more than Bodø / Glimt this season.

Impossible has become possible

It is so annoying that Aspmyra was not allowed to fill as many spectators as these talented soccer players deserve.

So we must all, both locally and in front of the television, instead of sitting at home and giving ourselves. It is a good feeling that, also, when what they offer us is at the level that we can now demonstrate.

How has it been possible? What strength and ideology is behind when Bodø’s management focuses on a coach (Kjetil Knutsen) who, above all, dominates his football without being a great celebrity, who swallows both adversity and adversity without swallowing hard and says calmly to other club leaders what is needed? be the best in Norway.

Much better than the others that gold is already in place now with a quarter of the matches remaining.

Random? Absolutely not.

Bodø / Glimt has become an object of study. The little small town club with the local players, how come they can only play with the so-called big? Or, when it’s a bad night and the game isn’t right, just go ahead, run, and win in the end.

The answers are interesting enough, but not sensational.

  • This is a club that provides players for need, and the need is for speed, technique and understanding of football.

They have a great participation with the local players (50-60%) and clearly there is a big difference in their dedication compared to others.

  • This is a team where the coach (Kjetil Knutsen) has a very clear opinion of how the team should play and involves the players. This is not about whether the coach is good enough or the players are. They are good enough together.
  • Glimt is a club in which the entire club management thinks in the same tracks and supports each other; This is not a pure trainer product. It is the Glimt club that plays, led by a technical team that thinks about development every day.
  • We see that the players have an abnormally solid training job behind them. They always have extra sprints and extra dueling power to put towards the end, and especially when it is necessary to change an outcome.
  • The club has established a proper culture, with strong leaders and tremendous pressure in daily training. Glimpses are a combination of everything, lit up by the joy of playing and showing that they are hungry for more success all the time.
  • Three physical therapists work full time on the team. They monitor and measure everything and take care of the boys both in terms of treatment and reports. Everything is measured by GPS. The intensity is maintained throughout the training work.
  • Players have quite remarkable self-confidence, even those who previously did not have star status. That security is only possible if each player knows his mission, trusts his teammates and, above all, trusts himself. Because they can.

It is not easy to find matches.

None finished

The sum of all this could also be recorded when the fight was resumed after the breaking of the crown. Glimt’s players were stronger, tougher, and more playful than any of the others.

And then we’ll see how long Glimt manages to hang on to this squad.

We know that it is only a matter of time before the world comes in and stocks up on talent, even more than before. Predators are always on the lookout when they play.
