The loser of the knowledge competition, Kariann Vilde Wølner, who is now participating in the parallel competition ‘Torpet’, tells VG that the situation around the coronavirus meant that the participants of ‘Farmen’ never knew if ‘Torpet’ existed exactly this year.

– We sat there and planned one of us to win “Torpet” and come back. But they told us that we weren’t allowed to talk about it on camera, because viewers wouldn’t understand what we were talking about when we were talking about it. We became insecure. But he was determined to get in there.

– So when I had the talk with Mads I was a little shocked, I had realized that I was out of everything and that I was going to the hotel. I was completely annoyed when he said he had a chance to fight back. And that’s why I’m so happy when he says that. They tricked me into rolling.
– Do you think that all the participants get the message to create a moment of surprise?
– No, I think it’s about taking “Torpet” several times. Karianne and I had talked so much that I should come back and that we should be together in the last week, thinks the “Farmen” contestant.

– But they don’t tell them it really exists until Mads tells them a few minutes after the duel ends. This is to keep the excitement going and preserve a moment of surprise, says Iversen, who adds that Wølner was very curious to know if “Torpet” existed.
