The US presidential election is still undecided, but President Donald Trump is threatening to take the vote to the Supreme Court.
The president has been highly critical of voting by mail for a long time and many times he has made unsubstantiated accusations that this form of voting will lead to fraud.
Trump has now filed lawsuits in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. In Wisconsin, the Trump campaign will recount the votes, and in Michigan and Pennsylvania, they will stop counting or get a recount. In Georgia, you will collect and secure ballots that were turned in after 7 pm on Election Night.

A new judge may be the key
About 20 states have opened for the counting of mail-in votes that arrive after Election Day, as long as they are postmarked no later than Election Day on November 3. But the Republican-controlled Legislature in Pennsylvania has not given the green light to such an extension, according to NTB.

Experts have long warned that the final result of the elections may be long overdue. Maybe a couple of days, says Svein Melby of the Department of Defense Studies (IFS), part of the Norwegian Defense College (FHS).
