(Stjernen 7-2 Stavanger Oilers) Stavanger Oilers captain Dennis Løvold Sveum (33) is concerned after the league favorite was beaten on Tuesday and is struggling at the bottom of the table.

– It’s bad shit, of course. What else to say. It’s just a miserable situation, Dennis Sveum tells VG by phone after Tuesday night’s game.

Last season, the Stavanger Oilers scored an incredible 194 goals in 45 games for 113 points. They were 23 points ahead of Storhamar and there was never a battle for the league championship.

VG, TV 2 and all the other outlets reported prior to this year’s season that Stavanger Oilers would win a new league championship and chase another NM gold to Rogaland.

– The people around us and those who think things can be as disappointed as they want. But it hurts much more for those of us who are now in that locker room, says the former national team defender.

Right now they have great trouble winning ice hockey games.

They have a poor six points in seven games. That means a qualifying space for relegation games, and the penultimate, for so long. Never before have they started the season so weak.

Had meetings in the group of players

– We have to find out about this as soon as possible. No more excuses, this is Game 7, Oilers star Dan Kissel told TV 2 after the game.

Sveum tells VG that there were encounters in the group of players already after the third game of this season (loss 2-4 for Lillehammer, the defender’s mother club). As a result of the results, several have hung their heads in the hallways and struggled with self-confidence. They know there are 38 games left in league play and a final NM game for the season. still now should it will soon be won in Stavanger.

– We have tried to clarify things a bit between these weak parties. But we can talk as much as we want. We have teams for much better results than this.

– We have wars like the f * against Frisk Asker on Saturday before a long awaited national team hiatus.

– You’ve had ups and downs. Where is this period placed in the bottom layer?

– It was tough three seasons ago and, but when you set records at the wrong end of the scale, it’s bad.

The star impressed

The star made mincemeat out of predictions that his Could the Oilers get a win and turn the season around in time to climb the table? Well, Stjernen has not shone this year either.

But they did it Tuesday night.

The hosts were effective as the Oilers struggled to seize opportunities, despite occasional dominance in the opening game. Coach Todd Bjorkstrand had switched ranks to try and create more goals, but failed.

The NHL player for the Ottawa Senators, and the Norwegian-Latvian Rudolf Balcers, scored his first goal during the loan period he signed until the start of the season in the best hockey league in the world. But despite the fact that last year’s goal kings Dan Kissel and David Morley are on the squad, and DEL’s top scorer Chad Costello has been signed, the reigning league champion is in deep trouble.

Daniel Trnavsky scored the last two goals for Stjernen in the settlement. They didn’t give up until 7-2. The regular Christmas for guests and the home team, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this fall, got a long-awaited boost.

Happy days in plank city

– Very very happy. I think we are patient and good throughout the game. Stavanger puts pressure on us at first, but we remain calm, coach Lasse Fjeldstad told TV 2.

A great week for the city, for the FFK football team went to the Obos league on Sunday.

In Stavanger no one applauds on Tuesday, not in football or on the ice hockey field.
