(VVV-Venlo – Ajax 0-13) Most considered the match to be over with Ajax leading 4-0 at halftime. But the attacking players did not give up. In fact, they didn’t give up until it was all 0-13.
Thus, Ajax set a completely wild new club record.
Their biggest win in the context of the league was previously 12-1, but at 13-0, it was on October 24, 2020 a new club record. His biggest win in the league. The previous winning record has been held since 1972.

Ajax led 2-0 before 20 minutes played and went into halftime with a 4-0 lead. But after the second half, it was completely undone for the home team. In the 52nd minute, Chris Kum received a red card for a wrong kick. Then things started to happen:
The 5-0 came after 54 minutes played, and five minutes later, the score was incredibly 8-0. After 79 minutes, it was 12-0, and when it came to an eight-minute stay without scoring, one might have thought Ajax was done for the day.
At minute 87 came the 13-0 goal and it was Traoré’s fifth. The 19-year-old also had three goal assists and thus scored eight (!) Goal points in the same match.
According to statistics from Sofascore Ajax also had:
- 45 shots, of which 23 were on target.
- 18 shots from outside VVV-Venlos 16 meters.
- 27 shots inside VVV-Venlos of 16 meters.
Ajax were already at the top of the table in the Honorary Division, but at least they have a much better goal difference. Now they are standing with 24 goals scored and three against. VVV-Venlo, on the other hand, now has 9-22 goals for and against.
