Two outdoor and service locations in Trondheim have now closed their doors after a corona infection was detected.
800 people were quarantined after a visit to a bar in Little London.
On Friday it became known that the new Barmuda restaurant is also closed, after two people were diagnosed with the infection. An unknown number of visitors have been detained.
– It is disturbing and sad what is happening and that two nightclubs and restaurants are closed, that more than 1,000 are in quarantine and that a greater number of more must be quarantined, says City Director Morten Wolden.

The municipality of Trondheim will not introduce stricter restrictions on the industry at this time, says Wolden.
– Our challenge now is not the nightlife industry, but those who seek it. Nightclubs have not acted in violation of infection control rules, which are already a struggling industry.
Provide false information
Upon arriving at various restaurants in Trondheim, visitors have logged in with cat and dog names, as well as fake phone numbers.
The city manager is appalled that people are not taking this seriously and thus made infection detection work nearly impossible.
According to covid 19 regulations, restaurants must register at least one person at the table so they can be notified if an infection outbreak occurs.
– I am surprised by the information that the registration does not make sense. This means that our infection trackers get an incredibly difficult job, which can track the infection and carry on and, in the worst case, infect those who are seriously ill. It is unnecessary to remember that the coronavirus is a deadly disease, says Wolden.

Most contagious variant in circulation
On Thursday, it was announced that 1,000 people were placed in corona quarantine in Trondheim.
According to the municipal chief doctor, Tove Røsstad, the outbreak is due to the fact that they have a “variant of the virus that is more contagious than we usually see.”
– If people keep the quarantine as requested, I think we will have a good control. But it has the potential to spread much further, Røsstad told NRK on Thursday.

The municipality of Trondheim has now chosen to invite a press conference to report on the infection situation in the capital of Trøndelag.
935 tested on Thursday
A total of 12 people in Trondheim were diagnosed with coronary heart disease yesterday, all of which have a mild course. Nine of the 12 are infected by known close contact, one is infected abroad, while in two the source of infection has not yet been identified.
Of those infected, three are 10 years old, five 20 years old, one 30 years old, one 40 years old and two 50 years old.
Three of those infected are schoolchildren and the following schools are affected: Charlottenlund Senior High School, Strinda Senior High School and Sunnland Senior High School. Affected students and staff are quarantined.
Five of those infected are NTNU students.
A total of 935 tests were carried out.
