Xherdan Shaqiri is now in solitary confinement in Switzerland. The midfielder has tested positive ahead of three internationals.
This is confirmed by the Swiss Confederation in a press release. The 28-year-old is injured but is now cleared for his first international matches since 2019. Switzerland will face Croatia, Spain and Germany in the coming days.
According to Liverpool.no, Shaqiri will be the fourth Liverpool player to test positive. The club has confirmed that both Thiago Alcântara and Sadio Mané are infected, but Kostas Tsimikas must have also tested positive for Covid-19.
Shaqiri will be the third Liverpool player to test positive in just one week.

Late on Friday night, Mané published a post on his Instagram profile where he himself confirmed the positive test.
