KRISTIANSAND / OSLO (VG) The friend went home with SIAN activist Dan E claim Lid (48) to ask him for a favor. Instead, he found the 48-year-old man dead in the living room.
VG meets his friend in the center of Kristiansand. He cannot bear to be home as it is in the neighborhood of Dan E Vind Lid’s apartment, the crime scene that is central to a recent murder investigation.
On Saturday morning he went to Lid to see if he could take care of the dog. He himself was going to a bachelor party.
– I entered the apartment through the patio door, as it is always open. The lid normally only closes the front door. When I walked in, I noticed that the kitchen and hallway were very clean, says the friend.
– It gave me the impression that it was washed there.
As he moved into the apartment, he spotted Lid lying lifeless on the living room floor.
– The room was characterized by the fact that there was a basket ceiling there. None of the furniture was where it used to be. It was not good to find him, says the friend.

The first aid friend: – Will not go
After finding Dan Elestin Lid dead in the apartment, he left the apartment block and got out of the car to pick up his mobile phone.
– Call the police. They asked me to start with life-saving first aid. So I went back and started first aid, but I knew it wouldn’t work, he says.
He says the police came first and then the ambulances.
– I worked in first aid until the ambulance staff declared him dead inside the department, says the friend.
– He was the nicest boy in the world.
According to the police, the last reliable observation of Dan E Vind Lid was last Friday, that is, the day before he was found dead. Police describe the death as suspicious, not least due to observations and circumstances at the scene.
– One of the hypotheses is that this person is the victim of a serious criminal act and that the person in question has died as a result, says police lawyer Henrik Bjugan Hegdahl in the Agder police district.
So far, no one has been arrested or charged in the case, and it is also unclear what the motive for the action may have been.
The 48-year-old SIAN (Stop the Islamization of Norway) activist moved into the apartment block in Suldalen a couple of years ago and quickly got in touch with his friend who tried to save him.
– He was the nicest guy in the world, a very loving and always kind person. Nothing was wrong with him.
According to the friend, the 48-year-old was a resource in the local community, where he helped retirees and made little fun of everyone.
– Everyone has their points of view, but that is, he says, who thinks about Lid’s political life.
– But here he worked on a project to capture the history of the area on a plan framed with foundations and Plexiglas, and began collecting funds to plant in the area.
Neighbor: Absolutely horrible
VG has spoken to a neighbor in the apartment block, who says that the deceased has lived in the apartment for a couple of years and was probably living alone.
– I think it’s absolutely horrible. He expressed his opinions, but he was very calm around him here. He was a quiet boy, very committed to the area and helpful to the neighbors, says the neighbor.
Another neighbor describes the deceased as a “quiet and calm boy”. This neighbor tells VG that he did not hear or see anything special in the period between Friday and Saturday.
– There was never a sound from him, but I haven’t seen him since the beginning of the week, says the neighbor.
– I was at home day and night, but I didn’t hear anything. The police knocked on the front door and asked me to open it. When I looked out the window, I saw that both the police and the ambulance were standing outside. It’s just sad, says another neighbor, who did not know the deceased.
– I’ve only seen him occasionally. When I got to work yesterday and a colleague opened the news, I was stressed and shocked. We don’t know what happened.
SIAN leader: – A defeat for Norway
SIAN leader Lars Thorsen has been informed that one of the organization’s members was found dead on Saturday afternoon. Thorsen met the man in his 40s through a joint stake in SIAN (Stop the Islamization of Norway).
– You have been involved in political activism for many years, longer than I have. And he has clearly marked himself as a champion of Norway and Norwegian values. It’s a loss for Norway, Thorsen tells VG.
